Introduction

Welcome everyone to another week in World of Warcraft (Retail Edition)!  As always, for more in depth information, there are numerous places to find information about the week’s events.  I will only ever cover those events that may be relevant for solo, or solo-ish (those comfortable with using group finder), players.  I do not include information about raiding, Mythic+, or any other high-level group content.  Other sources of information on this material include: WoWhead, Blizzard Watch, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft website, Icy Veins, etc.  Now that we’ve taken care of that disclaimer, hopefully some of you are still here so let’s move on.

**Please note that quests and events mentioned below are often located in the Adventure Guide as well.  If you have trouble grinding a quest giver, I suggest checking your Guide.

World Boss

Season 2 brings two World Bosses per week.  One of the World Bosses is Orta, the Broken Mountain in the Azj-Kahet.  There is, of course, also The Gobfather, located in Undermine.  Appropriately, this boss is very big on bombs, rockets, and other explosive devices.   

Weekly Quests and Bonus Weeks

Our Dungeon Rep Quest for the week is the City of Threads.  Please note that Undermine rep is one of the options you can choose for a reward.

This week is the Delves Bonus Week, which includes the “Sign of Explorer” buff which increases Delver’s Journey progress gains, companion xp gains, and Undercoin gains by 25%.  The associated quest, “A Call to Delves,” asks players to complete 5 delves in Khaz Algar in return for a ilvl 636 Cache of Delver’s Spoils.

Faerin is offering the quest “Call of the World Soul,” which asks players to choose one of four options: Undermine World Quests, Spreading the Light in Hallowfall, Awakening the Machine in the Ringing Deeps, and completing Seasonal Dungeons.  Please note that the dungeon choice asks players to complete any seasonal dungeon on normal difficulty or higher.  I assume this means follower difficulty won’t count.

In Undermine players can pick the Side Gig Quest at Slam Central Station.  Additional weekly quests can be picked up at the hotel.  I will be honest and admit that I still, even in May, have yet to complete a weekly or daily loop in Undermine.  

Since I spent April taking a break from much of WoW I have yet to run the Nightfall Event in Hallowfall, but I believe there are a weekly quest and three daily quests per week.

Special Events

The Darkmoon Faire is up until Saturday, May 10th.

The Winds of Mysterious Fortune buff to experience and rep gains is also still going on until May 20th.

The Spring Balloon Festival runs from Saturday, May 10 to Monday, May 12.

PvP

The PvP Brawl for the week is Deepwind Dunk.

The Sparks of War quest this week is in Azj-Kahet.

Misc.

The Trading Post for May is up, with a really cool (in my opinion) monthly reward of a customizable pet.
