Introduction
Welcome everyone to another week in World of Warcraft (Retail Edition)! As always, for more in depth information, there are numerous places to find information about the week’s events. I will only ever cover those events that may be relevant for solo, or solo-ish (those comfortable with using group finder), players. I do not include information about raiding, Mythic+, or any other high-level group content. Other sources of information on this material include: WoWhead, Blizzard Watch, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft website, Icy Veins, etc. Now that we’ve taken care of that disclaimer, hopefully some of you are still here so let’s move on.
**Please note that quests and events mentioned below are often located in the Adventure Guide as well. If you have trouble grinding a quest giver, I suggest checking your Guide.
World Boss
The World Boss this week is Orta, the Broken Mountain in Azj-Kahet.
Weekly Quests and Bonus Weeks
This week’s Dungeon Rep Quest is for completing The Stonevault.
Faerin Lothar is once again offering up Call of the World Soul in exchange for a Pinnacle Cache and some gold. Players can choose to complete 6 World Quests, kill 4 rares and complete Spreading the Light, complete Heroic or higher Ara-Kara, or kill the World Boss and 5 rares.
Turbulent Timeways brings us Wrath of the Lich King Timewalking. Players can complete 5 Timewalking dungeons for the “A Frozen Path Through Time” quest, which rewards a Heroic (ilvl 610) piece of gear. It also provides the “Sign of the Scourge” buff which increases rep gain from combat and quests by 50%.
The Bonus Event for the week is Arena Skirmishes. The “Sign of the Skirmisher” buff increases honor gains from Arena Skirmishes by 50%.
Special Events
Remember the Love is in the Air ends on Feb 17th and Plunderstorm ends on Feb 25th. The Lunar Festival ended today (Feb 11th). Make sure to check out the Traveler’s Log for activities that will no longer be available after these events end!
PvP
The PvP Brawl is scheduled to be Deepwind Dunk, but as of 11:30 EST, Feb 11, Comp Stomp was still available in the Group Finder tool (at least on my NA server).
Sparks of War this week is located in Hallowfall.
