Introduction
Welcome everyone to another week in World of Warcraft (Retail Edition)! As always, for more in depth information, there are numerous places to find information about the week’s events. I will only ever cover those events that may be relevant for solo, or solo-ish (those comfortable with using group finder), players. I do not include information about raiding, Mythic+, or any other high-level group content. Other sources of information on this material include: WoWhead, Blizzard Watch, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft website, Icy Veins, etc. Now that we’ve taken care of that disclaimer, hopefully some of you are still here so let’s move on.
**Please note that quests and events mentioned below are often located in the Adventure Guide as well. If you have trouble grinding a quest giver, I suggest checking your Guide.
World Boss
This week’s World Boss is the Aggregation of Horrors in the Ringing Deeps. I still think this is more of a World Boss Event instead of just a boss, but oh well.
Weekly Quests
The Dungeon Rep Quest this week is for the Cinderbrew Meadery.
The continuation of Turbulent Timeways gives us this week’s Timewalking Quest, “An Original Path Through Time,” which is to complete 5 Classic Timewalking Dungeons.
Brinthe has another Archives quest, “Archives: Seeking History,” which asks players to yet again collect 100 titan disc fragments in return for a Pinnacle Cache.
Remember also to complete your weekly Professions Quests, as well as collecting for the Odd Globs of Wax quest.
Holidays, Bonus Weeks, and Other Events
This is a busy section this week:
First, in connection to the weekly quest, Turbulent Timeways gives us the Sign of Past buff, which increases Classic rep gains from combat and quests, in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, by 50%.
Plunderstorm is also still live and will continue through February 18th. Although this is against other players, matches can be completed solo or in groups of two or three.
The Lunar Festival is also still live and goes until February 11th. Flying around to all the Elders can be a good, if inefficient, way of getting XP, especially for alts, if you’re looking for something to do while watching TV or listening to a Podcast.
Not live yet, but coming soon, is the Darkmoon Faire. It will start on February 2nd and will last until February 8th.
Also coming soon is the Love is in the Air holiday, which will run from February 3rd until February 17th.
World Events
Players can, as usual, complete the four World Events in Khaz Algar: Theater Troupe (Isle of Dorn), Awakening the Machine (Ringing Deeps), Spreading Light (Hallowfall), and Forging a Pact (Azj-Kahet).
Players can also complete the Special Quests, Bountiful Delves, and World Soul Memories. Remember that these rotate zones throughout the week, so make sure you check your maps.
Also, as always, the Hallowfall Fishing Derby is on Saturday.
PvP
This week’s PvP Brawl is Gravity Lapse, which takes place in the Eye of the Storm battleground.
The Sparks of War quest this week asks you to PvP in The Ringing Deeps.
Misc.
Remember that the January Trader’s Post is still available, for a few more days, if you haven’t earned all of your tender for the month or still have rewards you want to purchase for the month.
February is just around the corner so remember to check back for more information once January is over.
