Introduction
Welcome everyone to another week in World of Warcraft (Retail Edition)! As always, for more in depth information, there are numerous places to find information about the week’s events. I will only ever cover those events that may be relevant for solo, or solo-ish (those comfortable with using group finder), players. I do not include information about raiding, Mythic+, or any other high-level group content. Other sources of information on this material include: WoWhead, Blizzard Watch, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft website, Icy Veins, etc. Now that we’ve taken care of that disclaimer, hopefully some of you are still here so let’s move on.
World Boss
This week’s World Boss is the Aggregation of Horrors in the Ringing Deeps, which has to be my least favorite World Boss. Unlike the normal join-a-group-and-fight World Bosses, this feels more like a cross between a World Boss and a mini-World Event. You can join a group, protect the three constructs until they can summon the World Boss, and then fight.
Weekly Quests
**Quests related to Bonus Weeks, PvP, Holidays, etc. are in different sections below.
The Dungeon Quest for the week is to complete Cinderbrew Meadery. This can be done on any difficulty level, including as a Follower Dungeon, and turning in the quest rewards reputation with the War Within faction of your choice.
Brann Bronzebeard has the quest “Delves: Lost and Found” this week. For this quest players are asked to “Recover Brann’s 3 lost belongings in Delves around Khaz Algar.” Turning in this quest should reward a Pinnacle Cache and 10 Bronze Celebration Tokens.
Going along with Brann’s quest is the “A Call to Delves” quest which asks players to complete five Delves in Khaz Algar in return for a Cache of Delver’s Spoils (containing a piece of Champion-tract equipment) and 10 Bronze Celebration Tokens.
World Events
As always the Khaz Algar World Events include the Theater Troupe (Praetorium, Isle of Dorn), Spreading the Light (northeast corner, Hallowfall), Awakening the Machine (Gundargaz, Ringing Deeps), and the Severed Threads’ Pact (Weaver’s Lair, Azj-Kahet) events. Players can also complete the Radiant Echoes events which rotate daily through the zones. More information on these events can be found in previous “This Week in WoW” posts, as well as on a variety of other sites.
Holidays, Bonus Weeks, and Other Events
There is quite a lot in this section this week, including the ongoing Anniversary Event at the Caverns of Time in Tanaris.
With the Anniversary Event comes the Classic Timewalking Event with the “Sign of the Past” Classic reputation buff. Players can complete five Classic Timewalking Dungeons to complete “An Original Path Through Time” which rewards a Timewarped Badge, a Bronze Celebration Cache of Treasures, and 3 Bronze Celebration Tokens.
Working well with the two Delves Weekly Quests is the Bonus Week “Sign of the Explorers” which increases Delvers Journey progress, Companion XP gains, and Undercoin gains by 25%.
This week also has the Darkmoon Faire which will end on December 7th. Remember that players can pick up profession quests that award skill points and also ride on the Carousel to receive a reputation buff.
PvP
This week’s Brawl is Warsong Scramble, a variation on the Warsong Gulch battleground. Before queuing for this Brawl, players should pick up the “Something Different” Quest from the Adventure Guide. Completing this quest involves winning one Brawl for a reward of Marks of Honor, Honor, Conquest, and Bronze Celebration Tokens.
Since the Anniversary Event is still going on Korrak’s Revenge is also still available for players to queue into.
Closing out our short PvP section, this week the Sparks of War quest is sending you to The Ringing Deeps.
Misc.
Remember to pick up your Weekly Profession Quests in Dornogal.
There should also be a new Catalyst Charge available this week.
Last, but not least, this is the first full week of the December Trading Post. Make sure you check out the rewards and the Traveler’s Log activities for the month.
