Introduction

Welcome everyone to another week in World of Warcraft (Retail Edition)!  As always, for more in depth information, there are numerous places to find information about the week’s events.  I will only ever cover those events that may be relevant for solo, or solo-ish (those comfortable with using group finder), players.  I do not include information about raiding, Mythic+, or any other high-level group content.  Other sources of information on this material include: WoWhead, Blizzard Watch, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft website, Icy Veins, etc.  Now that we’ve taken care of that disclaimer, hopefully some of you are still here so let’s move on.

World Boss

This week’s world boss is the Aggregation of Horrors in The Ringing Deeps.  I’ll be honest, this one reminds me more of a world event than just a world boss.  In order for the boss to spawn three different Breakers (they look similar to constructs we’ve seen in the past) need to be escorted, and protected, until they reach the boss spawn point.  When all three arrive safely they channel beams until the boss appears.

Thankfully, for solo-ish players, there’s not usually a lot of discussion or coordination that goes on here.  You can simply look at your map to see where players are grouping up to escort and join one.  Unfortunately the escort process can make it a longer event than other world bosses and it’s more difficult to complete just by wandering over to the area in the hopes that the boss is already being attacked.  This one, at least in my experience, is easier when utilizing the Group Finder tool.

Weekly Quests

This week’s dungeon quest is The Dawnbreaker.  For solo players this can be done as a Follower Dungeon; for solo-ish players this could be done on Normal or Heroic difficulty through using Group Finder.

There is also “A Burning Path Through Time,” which is a timewalking dungeon quest.  Players are asked to defeat either 5 Timewalking raid bosses or dungeons for 10 Bronze Celebration tokens and some ilvl597 loot.

Make sure you also speak to High Speaker Brinthe who, assuming you’re caught up, should offer you another Archives quest to collect 100 titan disc fragments.  These fragments can come from dungeons, but also delves, rares, and treasures in all Khaz Algar zones.

Faerin Lothar offers a choice for the Worldsoul quest this week.  Players can choose to complete World Quests, “seek out Snuffling objectives and Skyriding treasures,” complete the City of Threads dungeon on Heroic or higher difficulty, or to defeat the World Boss and “5 rare creatures in Khaz Algar.”

World Events

As always there are the four main Outdoor World Events in Khaz Algar.  Spreading the Light is the event in Hallowfall and requires players to light small fires at different locations in the northeast part of the zone.  There are also a wide variety of world quests and mini-events that will occur within this region as well.  Generally this event attracts a variety of players and can, in my experience, be fairly easily accomplished without a formalized group.

Awakening the Machine is in The Ringing Deeps and requires players to defeat as many waves of mobs, up to a maximum of 20, as possible.  Rewards depend on the number of waves defeated.  This event can be completed as a solo player.

The Theatre Troupe at The Proscenium occurs every hour on the hour and can be easily completed without a formal group.  Players check in with the lead NPC who will give players various tasks to complete before the Play begins.  Once the Play starts players will be tasked with different actions to participate as actors until the Play, and the event, are finished.

The fourth World Event is the Severing Threads Pact quest.  Players choose one of the three Severed Threads leaders (the Weaver, the Vizier, or the General) to forge a Pact with for their Warband that week.  Players will then receive a bar that they can fill by completing World Quests and other activities in Azj-Kahet.

Holidays, Bonus Weeks, and Other Events

As was the case last week, this section is pretty full this week.  The Anniversary Event is still ongoing, as is Hallow’s End, until Friday, November 8.  Darkmoon Faire is also still going on until Saturday, November 9.

This week also has Burning Crusade Timewalking which allows players to complete Timewalking dungeons.  Black Temple is the Timewalking raid and, if it doesn’t appear in your Group Finder, should be in your Adventure Guide under the “Suggested Content” tab.  Note that, at least for me, Classic Timewalking dungeons were not listed in the Group Finder, but the Blackrock Depths raid was still available.

*Remember that many of these events and activities can also earn Traders Tender.

PvP

The PvP Brawl is Gravity Lapse, a variation on Eye of the Storm, which can be queued into through Group Finder.  Korrak’s Revenge, the Anniversary PvP event is also still available through Group Finder.  Make sure to pick up the quest for it in Tanaris first.  Sparks of War, for those interested in outdoor PvP content, is located in the Isle of Dorn this week.

Misc.

Also available are Bountiful Delves and Radiant Echoes Wordsoul Memories, which rotate locations daily.  Players can check their World Map to see the current locations.  Bountiful Delves will look gold instead of the normal brown door icon.  Worldsoul Memories look like a circle of Azerite on the World Map.

Remember that Restored Coffer Keys are required to open the Bountiful Coffers, which offer extra loot, at the end of Bountiful Delves.  Keys can be collected in a variety of ways.  100 Coffer Key Shards (a reward from some World Quests, Radiant Echoes, and other outdoor events) can be combined to create a Restored Coffer Key.  Once you reach Delver’s Journey level 7, Keys can be purchased from Sir Finley Mrrgglton in Dornogal for 2000 Undercoin.  Keys can also come from your first four World Events that you complete and at certain Renown levels with the main Khaz Algar factions.
