Introduction
Welcome everyone to another week in World of Warcraft (Retail Edition)! As always, for more in depth information, there are numerous places to find information about the week’s events. I will only ever cover those events that may be relevant for solo, or solo-ish (those comfortable with using group finder), players. I do not include information about raiding, Mythic+, or any other high-level group content. Other sources of information on this material include: WoWhead, Blizzard Watch, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft website, Icy Veins, etc. Now that we’ve taken care of that disclaimer, hopefully some of you are still here so let’s move on.
**Please note that quests and events mentioned below are often located in the Adventure Guide as well. If you have trouble grinding a quest giver, I suggest checking your Guide.
Special Mention: Brawler’s Guild
The Brawler’s Guild launched today (December 9th). For the Alliance location players should head to Bizmo’s Brawlpub in the basement of the Deeprun Tram in Stormwind. Horde players can go to the Brawl’gar Arena in the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar. Brawler’s Guild is not really my thing, but anyone interested can find a good guide at Wowhead (https://www.wowhead.com/guide/events/brawlers-guild-overview).
World Bosses (The War Within)
Khaz Algar’s World Boss this week is Shurrai, Atrocity of the Undersea in Hallowfall. There is, of course, also The Gobfather, located in Undermine and Reshanor, the Untethered in K’aresh.
Weekly Quests and Bonus Weeks
Our Dungeon Rep Quest for the week is Operation: Floodgate.
This week is the Battleground Bonus Event, which includes the “Sign of Battle” buff which provides a 50% increase to honor gains from Battleground objectives and wins. The associated quest, “A Call to Battle,” asks players to complete 4 Battleground matches in return for 5 Marks of Honor and 175 Conquest.
Turbulent Timeways this week brings us Mists of Pandaria Timewalking, with the quest, “A Shrouded Path Through Time” rewarding a Cache of K’areshi Treasures (ilvl694) in return for completing 5 Timewalking Dungeons.
Special Events
Turbulent Timeways started last week with the new Shadowlands Timewalking Week and will continue until February 10, 2026. This week is Pandaria Timewalking and next week will be Classic Timewalking. Remember that if you run enough Timewalking Dungeons (I believe it is four), you gain the Mastery of Timeways buff. This gives a 30% XP buff and can be refreshed by running a Timewalking Dungeon. Earning the buff for 5 weeks during this event grants an achievement and a mount voucher which can be redeemed for a choice of four mounts, all based on the four Covenants in Shadowlands.
Legion Remix still has a bit of time left, ending on January 19th. It is full of transmog, mounts, housing items, and pets to buy (some exclusive to Remix) so make sure you’re prioritizing and using your time to earn what you want to have before the end of the event. Certain Remix activities are also listed in the Traveler’s Log so it’s a potentially good way to earn some points if Remix is your thing. There are also Remix-specific achievements, some of which come with their own rewards that can help earn more Legion Remix things.
Darkmoon Faire is also ongoing through Saturday the 13th. Remember that not only does the Faire provide a chance for Profession points and achievements, but also usually has activities in the Traveler’s Log.
Feast of Winter Veil will start on Monday December 15th and will go until January 2nd. I’m not sure what, if anything, is new this year but I’m sure we’ll learn more soon.
Early Access Housing has started! While not everyone may have access to housing yet, all players can begin to earn housing items. I will be writing more about housing in a later post, so stay tuned!
PvP
The PvP Brawl for the week is Packed House (up to 30 players in an Arena match).
The Sparks of War quest this week is in Azj’Kahet.
Misc.
The Trading Post for December is, of course, still ongoing, with lots of timewalking Traveler’s Log activities this month.
The next expansion, Midnight, now has a release date: March 2, 2026.
