Introduction
Welcome everyone to another week in World of Warcraft (Retail Edition)! As always, for more in depth information, there are numerous places to find information about the week’s events. I will only ever cover those events that may be relevant for solo, or solo-ish (those comfortable with using group finder), players. I do not include information about raiding, Mythic+, or any other high-level group content. Other sources of information on this material include: WoWhead, Blizzard Watch, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft website, Icy Veins, etc. Now that we’ve taken care of that disclaimer, hopefully some of you are still here so let’s move on.
**Please note that quests and events mentioned below are often located in the Adventure Guide as well. If you have trouble grinding a quest giver, I suggest checking your Guide.
World Boss
Khaz Algar’s World Boss this week is the Aggregation of Horrors in the Ringing Deeps. There is, of course, also The Gobfather, located in Undermine.
Weekly Quests and Bonus Weeks
Our Dungeon Rep Quest for the week is The Rookery.
This week is the War Within Dungeon Event, which includes the “Sign of the Warrior” buff which has the final boss of each War Within dungeon drop an extra item. The associated quest, “Emissary of War,” asks players to complete 4 dungeons on Mythic difficulty in return for a ilvl 649 Cache of Undermine Treasures.
On a more solo-friendly note, Brann Bronzebeard is offering up the “Delves: Worldwide Research” quest, offering a Pinnacle Cach for completing 3 Delves.
For those who didn’t finish Brinthe’s ”Archives: Seeking History,” quest from last week, don’t worry, you can still collect titan disc fragments this week.
In Undermine players can pick the Side Gig Quest at Slam Central Station. Additional weekly quests can be picked up at the hotel. I will be honest and admit that I still, even in May, have yet to complete a weekly or daily loop in Undermine. (Note: Next week this will not be included in the write up, but will be listed under “Recurring Events.”)
Despite it being May 20th, I still have yet to run the Nightfall Event in Hallowfall, but I believe there are a weekly quest and three daily quests per week. (Note: Next week this will not be included in the write up, but will be listed under “Recurring Events.”)
Special Events
Horrific Visions: Revisited is open today. The starting quest, “Truly Horrific to Behold,” can be picked up from the Adventure Guide’s “Suggested Content” tab or it can also be picked up from Soridormi in the Coreway in Dornogal. For those who played end game content in BfA this should be a familiar, if possibly groan-worthy, event. I get the feeling a lot of people either liked Horrific Visions or hated them. Like the BfA version, Horrific Visions will take you to corrupted versions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar where players will be asked to complete objectives and defeat certain challenges. PvP
The PvP Brawl for the week is Warsong Scramble.
The Sparks of War quest this week is in Undermine.
Misc.
The Trading Post for May is, of course, still ongoing, with a really cool (in my opinion) monthly reward of a customizable pet.
